Hi all,

I applied for MSc in Investment banking and securities at LSBF - London school of business and finance.

The school sounds perfect, but I would like to hear also students opinions about this school.

If someone knows something more about the school, I would appreciate some feedback.

Thanks

I took accounting courses there. The lecturers are leaders in the field and some lecturers are also senior members within the CIMA/ACCA organisations. The teaching at LSBF is definately first class but you expect that from these prices. The people are friendly and overall the school has a great feel to it. Definately recommend to others.

Hi,

It's a new programme at LSNF. I enrolled, because I think it provides a good balance of theory and praxis.

Do you plan to join this February or in September?

LSBF.... may be a right choice may be be not... don't just go by the title of course 'Masters in Investment banking and Securities' interesting and impressive though but theres alot in this name. If you don't really have interest in the field this is absolutely not for you.

I would suggest not to go with this option unless you have minimum 3 years of work Experience. These gyz deliver lectures as if we are professionals sitting in front of them. The reality you will come to know after 3 months of attending this programme.

No doubt just 2 institutions in world teaching this kindaa innovative course, Univ of Reading and this one. Good luck to you if you have enrolled for this course.
By just a chance i don't know how i came across this page. May be I might visit page again. Though I am currently persuing this course, its bit of challenging rather London is challenging.

Natasha hope by this time you have reached London and made yourself comfortable. Ask for help if you want, may be i can help you. If you are in london and planning to visit college well then i am goin for a meeting at 14.30 on 5th and after that i have schedule for 6th as well. Many corrent students are also gonna come on these dates. You may contact anyone there should you feel for ny help. Leave your msg here in post or your email address or mobile no. if you like to be contacted by me.

Regards & Good luck.

Hello and thank you for the answer.

I am a professional and I have 4 years of experience in banking and accounting. For the past 2 years I am in a project of implementing new software for Treasury Banking and the MSc Investment banking and securities is really something that I have been doing in the bank right now. So, I am glad to hear that the programme is design especially for professionals.

I would like to be in contact with you, here is my email: natsha_blind@yahoo.com

I hope that you will email me, because I would like to be in touch with a current student.

I am coming to London next week and looking forward to meeting you!

Regards

Natasha

Hi

I've applied for the MIB as well and I'd really appreciate some feedback from current students on how they find they course, the teaching standards and also how the course is seen among employers..

I realise that LSBF itself is not a university, but the course sounds great with more of a practical approach..however i was wondering whether it would be safer to stick to conventional univerisities..it would be great if someone can tell me on how the MIB at LSBF compares to the Msc Management at Bath.

thanks

I am going to apply the MBA Financial services + ACCA. Could anyone tell me will the MBA degree be awarded by LSBF itself or by some partner Uni? Regards.

Hi

I have enrolled to MBA with LSBF for the Sept 08 intake. I was told that it is a triple accredited MBA from Grenoble University. The MBA seems to be in the affordable price range when compared to some of the top class international business schools and hope LSBF MBA would be a winning edge in my career.

Hello everyone,

I'm applying for MBA Financial services ACCA as well. Is there any feedbacks about this course to be shared? It seems LSBF is the one thus far allowing ACCA to be done concurrently with MBA in Financial Services, universities require ACCA to be completed before commencing MBA, and I wonder why.. Regards,
Qian

I too have applied for the MIB program begining in Feb. GGSB is clearly a top tier business school but I wonder if employers will look upon a MIB from LSBF the same as a MIB from GGSB??

The course is ideal for me as it seems very practical. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.
