The TeachersPayTeachers.com Climate Change Lesson Plan Contest ("Contest") is open to Educators in grades K-12 who are legal residents of the United States or the District of Columbia (excluding residents of Puerto Rico and the U.S. territories and possessions) over the age of 18. "Educators" are defined herein as all instructional personnel and administrators in Kindergarten through 12th grade educational institutions and Kindergarten through 12th grade home school teachers. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. The Contest is void in Puerto Rico, the U.S. territories and possessions, and where prohibited or restricted by law.

The only way to enter the Contest is by submitting an entry online at the website between January 20, 2008, 12:00 a.m. EST and April 30, 2008, 11:59 p.m. EST. Registration for the Contest will automatically register you on TeachersPayTeachers.com and is required even if you are currently a registered user of TeachersPayTeachers.com. Entries must consist of a lesson plan that either teaches about Climate Change directly or uses Climate Change as a central theme through which to teach standard skills in a subject area. For example, math teachers could teach about fractions, arithmetic or ratios using temperature fluctuation data; science teachers could teach a wide variety of skills in the fields of meteorology, geology or biology as related to Climate Change; and art teachers could instruct students to depict their vision of earth in 30 years as it may be altered by Climate Change. Entries must be submitted for one of three (3) grade categories: K-5, 6-8 or 9-12. Eligible entries will be posted on TeachersPayTeachers.com. Up to five (5) different entries may be accepted per person. To submit additional lesson plans after your first entry, you may log in from the TeachersPayTeachers.com/contest home page with your username and password. Mechanically reproduced entries, mailed in entries, or any form of entry which does not comply with the proper manner to enter the Contest set forth above, are prohibited and all such entries are void.
