Hi,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Janneke van der Meer, a so called young mother. I whas 20 when I became pregnant (we have been trying for a year) and 21 when my son Mike whas born (April the 11th) Since that time I have had it rough. Not many people can accept a young woman having kids on such a yong age.

This is also the reason why I am posting here. I would like to tell you about a new website for young parents. http://www.young-mum.com . I made it a couple of weeks ago. When I had enough of the stare and such. This is a friendly community for both teen- young and older parents. Here you can talk, rant or do whatever you think makes you feel better.

Because we are so new we definitely need some people joining. Whe already have around 20 parents but we could sure use the help there. Read well - this is a non profit website. Infact, it was donated to us by an 18 year old parent. So if you are a parent yourself, or you want to be one, or you know people who are (home, friends myspace or wherever) then please join us and tell them about us.

http://www.young-mum.com

Thank you for your time :)

Hi my name is Bryan I am a father of three children and my wife is one of those young mothers you are talking about she had are first at 16 let me start by saying all of are kids are healthy and educated my oldest can divide already and she just turning 5 this year so the misconception that young parents can't raise kids is proven wrong but I did use a little help by buying used stuff from second hand stores etc but I am glad to tell you that thier is a better way to find cheap baby stuff just go to half off baby stuff dot com thanks to them I found so much stuff I needed for much less than retail prices B
