Beware of Darcars whenever they are located. It's the same bad experience.
I went to Darcars Dodge-New Carrollton
8100 Annapolis Rd
New Carrollton, MARYLAND 20784
And all it was - just another rippoff case from Darcars.
I will never do business with Darcars and would tell everyone of the poor experience I had. I had worked with them for 6 months on purchasing the 2008 Dodge Challenger. On 3 December, I went to place my order. While writing my check for the deposit, they tried to sneak into the paperwork that there would be a $10,000 dealer surcharge on the car.
Sales guy didn't know much about the car either just knew how to get more from my pocket.
Frontdesk is completely incompetent.
I'm very sorry I had to learn all of that the hard way.

I didn't do any research on those guys and wasted my time.
Called them to ask if they had a diesel Ram truck that I was looking for. I asked them four times if that it was the right truck. They said yes. I drove 40 minutes only to get there and find out that not only is the truck not there, they didn't have any diesels on the lot. They offered me a truck with a Hemi on it. They are complete nuts.
They jerked me around for half an hour and said they would call me back with the right truck. I never heard from them again!

Watch out for the new item that is now included in the repair charge just to make more money for the service dept. Shop supplies are now more than what there suppose to be.. Ask question unless you have money to throw away... I think there feeling the crunch of smarter people who bring there vehicles in for service and only want what they came there for.

I have had a big problem also with Dar Car's Chrysler/Dodge of Silver Spring. I brought my 2006 Dodge Durango with a 5.7 Hemi motor from Herb Gordon Dodge. Last year driving back from Buffalo New York, I started hearing a noise from my transmission and, when I brought it back to Herb Gordon Dodge were I got it from, they told me that Dar Cars had taken over the Dodge sales and service. I was informed that this was Chryslers idea because, they were trying to have less dealerships within a close area. Being a mechanic myself of Twenty-Three years I new there was something not right with my SUV. I had the regional Manager for Chrysler East Coast drive it and put 330 miles on it. He stated that the torque converter had a little noise during low RPM ranges. He also told me, that it's normal for ALL hemi motors either having the 5.7 and even the new 6.1 motor to make this noise no matter the milage. He did state mine having 38,000 miles this is normal though for having this noise. I said, you say all have this noise but, mine is special just because it has a few miles on it and it OK for it to make noise. I have talked with three mechanics at Dar Cars about this and all have worked on Tranmission and have told me that it is not normal for it to make ANY NOISE. Well, do you know that the three that I have talked with have all been fired because they talked with me. I know what will happen if the torque converter lock's up it will come right up through the floor board and the drive shaft will also come up also. Anyone sitting in the front drivers and passengers seat will either have serious injuries to thier leg's and those sitting in the back could also have the same problems. Well, this has been going on for almost a year and it took me to tell them I would take them to court and buy the time I was done the judge would go my way. I even have it in writing that the regional manager said if the noise got any louder and the owner complained, he would replace it at anytime. Like I said, he now is willing to change it out but your right, you have to go through you know what just to make them work in your favor.

I thought that I was the only one having problems with Darcars ! I had an 8:30am appointment with the Darcars off of Branch Ave. on Auth Rd. just for an oil & filter change ( I have a 2007 Seabring ) . Because the entrance to the Service Department was blocked off with orange road cones and there were no posted good directions , I had to drive around & around trying to figure out how to get inside . Finally, I got in at 8:35am and informed personnel that I was there .I was told to have a seat and that he would inform the gentleman with whom I had made the appointment with that I was there . I sat there like a big fool for over two hours before I got up and informed the man that I was still waiting ( they still had not even taken my car keys ! ). Finally, after 2.5 hours, the man came and got my car keys. It was taking them a very LONG time just to do an oil & filter change so I asked the man what was the hold-up . Can you believe that he informed me they were fixing a recalled problem ( I was never informed from the dealership about this recall !!! ) # H07 tire pressure monitoring system electrical connectors . I am not lying...I was in that place for almost 5 long hours and all the mechanic told me was " I'm sorry for the wait..it was our fault " and then he sent me over to the counter to PAY for my services !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was absolutely " P Oed " and very hungry and then when I later read my sheet that explained the services preformed , it said ( besides the oil change that I asked for ) " customer states to preform recall ..... " ...all I asked for was the oil change , they didn't know what type of plans that I had for the day but they sure ruined them for me
