I am seeking a female live-in caregiver for my 90-year old mother. She requires assistance with all tasks. She is not bed ridden, however. Duties will include preparation of three meals a day, washing dishes, controlling and administering medicines, companionship, patient bathing, light house work, laundry, watering plants, patient dressing, patient hygiene. Patient needs assistance walking but primarily depends on being pushed in a wheelchair. House is all on one floor. Caregiver will have their own private bedroom and bath. Patient needs companionship, three meals prepared a day, and very light housekeeping (another person will be doing deep weekly cleaning). She also needs to be driven (in her car) to doctor's appointments.
Patient needs about 40 hours of care per week and a weekly cash salary of $750.00 is also provided. Though active work is only about 40 hours a week, caregiver must be present at house all day and all night. Caregiver will be provided two weeks paid vacation ($750/week) per year. The two weeks must be taken one week at a time at separate times during the year. Patient ocassionally needs assistance at night. If you’re a homebody who enjoys watching tv, reading, painting, writing, or gardening, you’ll probably enjoy this job. If you’re looking for a city with nightlife, you probably won’t. Compensation includes free housing, cable, electricity, meals, and weekly payment of $750.00. Non-smokers only. Please do not apply for this position if you smoke at all or drink. No pets allowed due to severe allergy. You will need to have references and a valid driver’s license. You must agree to a background check. . If you are interested in the position, please send questions and a resume to norman.howard@tetratech.com.

I am 51 years old female looking for a live-in caregiver work in USA. I am well-educated person and have worked as a nurse, teacher, librarian and translator. I have taken care of my mother(she had cancer) for about 4 years. I have also nursed my poor Dad, who suffered Alzheimer's after stroke for many years. So from my own experience I do know that elderly care is not such an easy task. The first thing that one needs in performing this mission is LOVE! I have a special love and warmth in my heart for elderly persons, since they remind me of my parents. I believe with God's help I will be able to nurse your mother with accurately and patiently . Sincerely,
Jane
