| Anon. | Posted: 2009-05-30 05:09:06 When I was young I always have a very handy Chess Board to bring in school... But now that it's hard to find someone to play with, I had a chess application installed in my phone... |
| Anon. | Posted: 2009-10-07 09:15:17 Everytime I force the King into the corner (A8)and think checkmate, the game says Pat. What gives? Dave |
| Learn4Good | Posted: 2009-10-07 14:44:04 Could you give us a list of moves you make to get the problem? |
| Anon. | Posted: 2009-10-09 12:09:11 I'm sorry, I don't have the moves. I usually have the King cornered and if I move for a checkmate with the King on A8, the King dissappears and the I get "Pat"! instead of checkmate. Clearly, it is supposed to be a checkmate and I haven't put the King in a postion that it cannot move, it is in check. Have you not seen this before? It has happened to me a few times. By the way, I really enjoy playing your online chess game, it has sharpened my game considerably. Mostly, paying attention. For a senior, I think it is a good brain game. Dave Dave |
| Learn4Good | Posted: 2009-10-12 14:41:27 Dear Dave, Thank you again for your feedback and kind words. I think the problem has been fixed in the newer version of the Chess game at http://www.learn4good.com/games/board/chess.htm Please check it and see how it works for you. Please refresh your browser if you still see the old game version (press F5 or Refresh button on your browser). |
| Anon. | Posted: 2009-10-12 21:34:21 I miss the old version. Is it possible to give us the option of choosing which chess game to play? This board does not tell you where your piece can move to and the board is too big to fit on my screen. Dave (a different Dave) |
| Anon. | Posted: 2009-10-12 21:49:20 It is very slow too. |
| Anon. | Posted: 2009-10-12 22:18:19 What was wrong with the old version? I agree with a different Dave, give us the choice of the new and old versions. |
| Learn4Good | Posted: 2009-10-13 02:36:37 Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We have decided to do the following: Restore the old Chess game and try to fix the problem described 7 Oct 2009 09:15:17 (see posts above) when possible. Improve the design and contrast of the new Chess game and move it to another page as a separate version so you have a choice of two. We'll make the changes ASAP. |
| Learn4Good | Posted: 2009-10-13 13:25:29 Both Chess versions are available at http://www.learn4good.com/games/board.htm The new chess version will have its design changed over coming days. |
| Anon. | Posted: 2009-10-13 14:27:53 Thank you for being responsive and allowing us a choice between the two versions! |

| Anon. | Posted: 2010-09-23 16:14:58 I swear, this is THE most difficult online chess game I've ever found! A chess champion couldn't complete the Beginner difficulty! I've been playing chess for years, but in the thirty-odd time's I've played this game, on Beginner, the best I've ever got was Stalemate. |

| Anon. | Posted: 2010-10-06 23:53:09 I know of two rules problems with this game. 1) If the king has been in check at some point previously in the game, the game will not allow the king to castle (the king has not moved - typically check was stopped by interposing). i.e. After this sequence, the king cannot castle. 16. Comp: f6 - g6 15. You: b1 - c3 14. Comp: b4 - c3 13. You: c2 - c3 12. Comp: f8 - b4 11. You: f4 - g5 10. Comp: d8 - f6 9. You: c1 - f4 8. Comp: e7 - e6 7. You: f1 - e2 6. Comp: h7 - h5 5. | Anon. | Posted: 2010-11-20 15:22:06 how to castle in chess? |
| Anon. | Posted: 2010-11-30 00:07:41 Great game! Thank you very much for letting us play! |
| Anon. | Posted: 2010-12-11 19:38:05 Other problems: 1) Human is always white. 2) Cannot choose between knight/bishop/rook/queen on pawn promotion. |
| Learn4Good | Posted: 2010-12-12 04:29:28 Hello, We have a new 3D chess version that has all of the above problems fixed. It will be posted in the coming days. Although some players find it less visually acceptable as 2D chess but we cannot "upgrade" old versions anymore. Will have it posted here once it is available online. |
| Learn4Good | Posted: 2010-12-13 09:19:04 A new version of 3D chess is available now at http://www.learn4good.com/games/board/3d-spark-chess.htm Hope you like it and less bugs are present in it. We might implement a feature that will allow enlarging the game to "full screen" in the near future. That way it will be easier to see figures for those who require this. |
| Anon. | Posted: 2010-12-20 02:34:44 I play this chess game for hrs evryday! The old version is my favorite! Thank you very much for letting us play!!!! |
| Anon. | Posted: 2011-01-23 15:41:59 Enjoy playing this game everyday! Thank you! Love the old version the best! |
