Kids Into Speaking Spanish (KISS) is a Total Spanish Immersion Program for preschool and kindergarten -age children (from 2 to 6), with two locations in the East Bay region of San Francisco Bay Area - Walnut Creek (east of Oakland in Contra Costa County) and Montclair, Oakland, CA. The schools are a safe and exciting place for children to grow and learn. Our success over the last seven years is a testament to our innovative program. We provide a wonderful program designed to prepare your child for academic success. About 95% of the activities are conducted in Spanish. The core of our curriculum consists of activities and participation in cultural experiences such as singing, dancing, art projects, cooking, and games - all done entirely in Spanish.
We accept children 2 years to 4 years for our preschool program. We have a developmental kindergarten program and accept children 5 and 6 years old. Our after school program accepts children from 1st thru 3rd grade. We also offer a program for working parents with Unlimited day care from 7AM to 6PM. In our Montclair school we are offering a month's tuition for free to a new 4 year that enrolls.
3 . Brandeis Hillel Day School Courses / Programs
In an award-winning facility set on two acres in San Francisco, CA, Brandeis Hillel Day School is a non-affiliated, community school where children from diverse Jewish backgrounds create and participate in an environment of learning and support. Begun in 1963 as the Brandeis School, the school merged with the Hillel Day School in 1973. A Marin campus located in San Rafael was opened in 1978. The curriculum here is varied, integrated and challenging, with students developing a strong foundation in the basic academic disciplines of English, Hebrew, mathematics, science, social studies and Judaic studies. The arts, athletics, music, and outdoor education are also taught. The highest value is placed on cultivating in students and faculty the qualities of compassion, kindness, and mutual respect. The school recently completed construction of a state-of-the-art building to accommodate K-3rd grades, a music room, multi-purpose room, and science lab. Construction on a performing arts complex begins within the next few years. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS) accredit BHDS.

Katherine Michiels Elementary School is located on Guerrero Street between 25th and 26th streets, in San Francisco's Mission District. (KMS) is taking the lead in developing a progressive curriculum where art, music, dance, Spanish, language, outdoor education, and creative writing are core to an academic program that is project based and specific to each of our learners. Our unique curriculum takes inspiration from Mel Levine, Slingerland, Reggio Emilia Project Based Learning, and similar techniques. Our program places a strong emphasis on social, academic, and emotional development. We encourage children to take responsibility for themselves and others; and allow them freedom to develop a strong sense of self. KMS owns a camp outside of Yosemite where it offers outdoor education instruction to students. Scholarship available.
Infant Program (ages 3 to 24 months), Preschool (2-4 years), 2 Year Kindergarten (4-5 years), Elementary School (1st through 5th grades). Our philosophy is child-centered and is focused on building a child's self esteem through socialization and play. While there is no strict academic program at Laurel Hill, our children thrive in an environment that lets them learn organically. Laurel Hill is the largest co-op nursery school in the Bay Area, with approximately 80 families enrolled. We currently have a staff of 8 teachers, and with parent participation our adult-to-child ratio is roughly 1 to 5.

Families who become members of the co-op need to fulfill participation responsibilities, and by doing so allow us to offer an unrivaled experience at extremely affordable rates.
