Admission Criteria:
To be accepted into a department approved training program, the program shall have evidence that the applicant has:
- A high school diploma, or its equivalent.
- Passed the College Level Academic Scholastic Test (CLAST), or has taken and received a passing grade in three college level credits each of math and English, or can demonstrate competencies in communication and computation by passing the College Level Equivalent Proficiency (CLEP) test in communication and computation.

To develop this foundation of appropriate skills and knowledge this Institute will Include:
- Curriculum that offers the necessary theory and skill development to enable qualified students to have career opportunities upon completion of the program.
- Employ qualified, motivated faculty to instruct, demonstrate skills and evaluate return demonstrations of those skills.
- Provide an appropriate environment equipped to support the programs offered.
- Survey employers to identify the skills necessary for graduates to be employed at entry-level positions.
