Medical Assistant - Associate Degree
Medical Assistants are among the first to care for patients when they visit a medical office or center. This track is for students who prefer a hands-on, person-to-person medical career. This career track involves taking medical histories and vital signs, explaining treatment procedures and patient preparation. Upon successful completion of ATA's Medical Assistant program, you will be awarded an Occupational Associate Degree Medical Professional concentration in Medical Assisting. ATA's Medical Assistant program is a 17-month program that consists of 66 core credits and 24 concentration credits.

Medical Coding - Associate Degree
Medical Coding is a great career opportunity for someone who wants to work behind the scenes on the business side of healthcare, instead of hands-on with patient care. Each time a patient receives treatment, a detailed record is maintained containing observations, medical or surgical interventions and treatment outcomes. Coders are responsible for assigning a code to each specific diagnosis or procedure. They consult classification manuals, but they also rely on their acquired knowledge of disease processes. Medical Coders are detail-oriented and enjoy doing research.

Pre-Licensure Practical Nursing - Diploma
ATA’s Practical Nursing program offers an accelerated track to your new nursing career. ATA’s 15-month nursing program is developmentally approved by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. The Practical Nursing Program at ATA is taught by experienced nursing faculty, and hands-on training takes place in new, state-of-the-art classrooms and labs. Upon successful completion of the PLPN program and clinical practicum, graduates are eligible to apply to write the NCLEX-PN. ATA's Nursing curriculum is divided into six quarters of college coursework.

Limited Medical Radiography (LMR) - Diploma
ATA’s LMR program will train you to provide quality radiographs for physicians and radiologists, prepare patients for radiographic exams and operate radiographic equipment. ATA's 10-month Limited Medical Radiography program is approved by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services Department for Public Health and the Indiana State Department of Health, Indoor and Radiologic Health Branch. Graduates are eligible to take the Kentucky Limited Radiography examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. ATA's LMR program consists of 54 core credits and 100 lab credits. Upon successful completion of this program, you will be awarded a Diploma in Limited Medical Radiography. ATA's Medical Coding program is a 17-month program that consists of 66 core credits and 24 concentration credits.

Dental Assistant - Diploma
Dental assisting is an outstanding career for someone who is a stickler for details, driven to help people and enjoys hands-on work. Dental Assistants are an important part of any successful dental practice. ATA's Dental Assistant program will prepare you for a successful career as a dental assistant. Dental Assistants perform a variety of jobs, including patient care, office management and lab duties. Upon completion of the program, you will be awarded a Diploma in Dental Assisting. All ATA graduates are accepted into the University of Louisville School of Dentistry's Expanded Duty Dental Auxiliary (EDDA) course. In addition to the basic coursework for dental assistants, ATA also provides:

- CPR certification for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association
- Kentucky certification in Radiology Safety and Technique
- 300 hours of externship in a dental office
- Hands-on lab experience at an actual dentist's office
- Instruction from dentists and dental assistants
- Training in 4 handed dentistry

ATA's Dental Assistant program is a 10-month program that consists of 48 credit hours.

Medical Office Assistant - Diploma

In addition to the basic coursework for Medical Office Assistants, ATA also provides 120 hours of hands-on experience in a clinical setting during your externship.  ATA's Medical Office Assistant program is a 10-month program that consists of 54 credit hours. Upon successful completion of this program, you will be awarded a Diploma in Medical Office Assisting.

Phlebotomy - Diploma
For those who want to work hands-on with patients and have a keen eye for detail, phlebotomy is an excellent way to get started in the medical profession.

Certified phlebotomists work directly with patients to obtain specimens for laboratory tests or blood donations. They must pay close attention to safety precautions, use proper patient identification techniques. A good bedside manner is also important to help calm anxious patients. ATA prepares graduates to deliver high quality, direct patient care while performing vital phlebotomy techniques through small-group instruction, lab work and clinical experience. ATA's Phlebotomy program is an 8-month program that consists of 47 credit hours.
