Certificate IV in Business Management
Course Description: This course aims to provide skills in middle level management. A person proficient in these competencies could take the following roles:
- Middle line management
- Supervision of staff
- General business support
Diploma of Business Management
This course aims to provide skills appropriate to a range of occupations across all industries. Most importantly, the course has been designed to be relevant to occupations in the Food Processing industry, such as Pastry Cook and Baker. In view of this, a number of units of competencies in Food Processing (FDF units) have been included in this course. A person proficient in these competencies could take the following roles:
- Senior Management
- Supervision of staff
- Leadership at the workplace
- General business support
- Recruitment, induction and selection
- Business Proprietorship
Certificate III in Food Processing (Retail Baking) - Cake and Pastry
Upon completion of this course, students will obtain theoretical and practical knowledge of pastry. Students would be able to produce various types of pastry products. The college will assist students in obtaining 900 hours work experience required by TRA. Students are eligible to apply for Pastry Cook- trade skill assessment through Trades Recognition Australia (TRA). Pastry cooks can work in hotels, restaurants, and café hops. Further qualifications could lead to business proprietorship.
