Birmingham-Southern College:
Birmingham-Southern College is a four-year, private liberal arts institution located in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama. It was founded in 1856 and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. We currently offer five bachelor’s degrees in more than 50 programs of study including accounting, art, business administration, education, engineering, psychology, theater arts and many more. You can also pursue one of 11 interdisciplinary degrees and dual degree programs. We offer graduate programs in music and public and private management.

We currently enrol approximately 1,400 students from 30 states and eight foreign countries. Birmingham-Southern has a 12:1 student to faculty ratio, and of the full-time members of the faculty, more than 96 percent hold either a doctoral degree or the highest degree in their field.

Accreditation:
Birmingham-Southern College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees.
