50-Week Practical Nursing Diploma Program Content:

- Semester 1 – 375 hours / 15 weeks:
Health 1; Healing 1; Human Relationships 1; Professional Growth; Human Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology; Nursing Arts 1; Community Practicum #1

- Semester 2 – 405 Hours / 15 weeks:
Health 2; Healing 2; Human Relationships 2; Nursing Arts 2; Gerontology Clinical #2

- Semester 3 – 610 Hours / 20 weeks:
Health 3; Healing 3; Professional Issues; Nursing Arts 3; Acute Care Clinical # 3; Preceptorship; Career Planning and Management

- Further Courses:
CPR Certificate (Basic Life Support) Level C and Standard First Aid, FoodSafe and WHMIS will be completed during the program.

Note: Successful completion of this program does not guarantee a license to practise. That license is issued by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of B.C. only after successful completion of the mandatory national examination.
