Electrical

ELECTRICIAN
A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of this 15 week (560 hours) training session. Training center located at 120 English Drive, Moncton, NB.

This program trains students for entry level positions in the field of electrical. Electricians install and maintain electrical systems designed to provide heat, light, power, control, signal or fire alarms for all types of buildings, structures and premises including residential, commercial, institutional or industrial facilities. In general they read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts. They cut, thread, bend and install conduitsTechnical Colleges / Institutes, pull wire through conduits, install data cabling, test circuits to ensure integrity and safety, install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers and enclosures.

Carpentry

This program trains students for entry level positions in carpentry. Carpenters construct, erect and repair buildings made of wood, wood structures, steel and other materials. In residential jobs they build the house framework including walls, roof, exterior and interior finishes. They install doors, windows, cabinets, stairs, handrails, mouldings and ceiling tiles. In commercial jobs they build concrete forms, scaffolding, trestles, shelters and other structures. Carpenters must work accurately, economically and follow national and local building codes. Some carpenters specialize in one type of work such as framing, bench work or fiTechnical Colleges / Institutesnish work.

This program trains students for entry level positions in the field of Plumbing. Plumbers install, repair and maintain pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
Plumbers main duties include:

* Reading blueprints and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks and drainage systems
* Install, repair or maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
* Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
* Test pipes for leaks using air and water gauges
