The Institute of Machine Tool Technology (iMTT) locted in North Mississauga, Ontario (9 miles west of Toronto) offers programs designed to enable students to achieve the practical, hands-on experience they need to obtain employment in the machine tool industry upon graduation. Students at other institutes may complete their CNC certification but often lack the practical, hands-on experience they need to find relevant employment upon graduation. The pre-requisite to be considered for admission to Institute of Machine Tool Technology is Grade 12 or its equivalent. If you are a mature student (18+ years of age) without Grade 12, a Basic Skills Test is required.
At Institute of Machine Tool Technology (iMTT), our curriculum includes 1250 hours of combined theoretical and practical CNC training. This includes 625 hours of "instructor-led apprenticeship-style" training on CNC machines, 445 hours of theory and 180 hours of computer-based training.
