Computer Networking - Microsoft & CISCO Certification Programs (MCSE, CCNA etc.)
Yorkville College of Professional Studies is a registered Microsoft IT Academy and a registered Cisco Networking Academy . All Network Administration and Security courses follow the requirements and standards set by these two partners. Our graduates are eligible to write the exams and be certified in the following areas: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Linux+, Cisco Certified Network Associate, Panduit Authorized Installer, Cisco Firewall Specialist CompTIA Security+, MCP and MCSE.
Dental Chairside Assistant
The program delivers all of dental assisting theory and practice. There is a student workbook to enhance learning. There is a complete laboratory service to practice manipulating amalgams and other dental materials. The text has complete chapter outlines, objectives and key terms, colour illustrations, photos, tables and chapter summaries to facilitate student learning. Our graduates will be HARP certified as part of the graduation requirements.
Paralegal Diploma
Graduates of this diploma program acquire a broad understanding of the Canadian legal system and specific knowledge about several major areas of law. The course of study is intense. After laying the theoretical groundwork for a particular area of law, students are taught "real world" applications of the law. In this format students will be developing confidence and competence in the key skill areas sought in this fast growing job market. Each module equips students with legal information they will use to assist clients and act as agents for those who need help with a variety of legal services either directly or under the supervision of a practicing lawyer.
Early Childhood Assistant
Our Nationally Certified diploma program allows graduates the freedom to work in the Early Childhood Profession across Canada. The Early Childhood Assistant program was developed to equip childcare workers with valuable knowledge, skills and experience for employment as Assistants in day care or early learning centres. It was designed to give students an overview of the responsibilities of an early childcare assistant and opportunities to perform those responsibilities. In addition to covering early childhood development, program planning, communication and other vital topics in childcare, the program also includes the role of computers in a childcare setting and how to use this tool to enhance the development in children.
