CHC30402 Certif icate III in Children’s Service:As an entry level qualification for the Childcare industry, this program equips students with the necessary skills to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes.
Depending on the setting, students may work under direct supervision (classroom and field – childcare centre) or autonomously (self paced flexible learning). In some settings, the student may also have limited supervisory responsibilities of volunteers. Students at this level are required to have an understanding of the Indigenous culture and history and to work with local communities in the provision of services.
CHC50302 Diploma of Children’s Services:The Diploma of Children’s Services covers workers who are responsible for developing and evaluating child care programs. Workers at this level have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers and in most Australian States it is the highest qualification required at director or service manager level.
Prerequisites - CHC30402 Certificate III in Children’s Services
CHC60202 Advanced Diploma of Children's Services:The Advanced Diploma of Children’s Services covers workers who are responsible for developing and evaluating the program. Workers at this level have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers and in most States it is the highest qualification required at director or service manager level in the child care industry.
Aims & Objectives - This cour se is suited to students who are currently working in the child care industry and/ or have successfully completed their CHC50302 Diploma of Children’s Services or equivalent. Students at this level of study are seekinging leadership and management positions within industry with further extension on their current underpinning knowledge of the child care services industry.
Prerequisites - CHC50302 Diploma of Children’s Services or equivalent.
