Costmetology Diploma Course
The EvelineCharles Academy fosters continual growth in students whose passion for the beauty and fashion industry has fuelled their desire to start their hair stylist training and their successful career. Students expand their creativity in hair, hairstyling and fashion. An education at the EvelineCharles Academy in the Cosmetology school program ensures students develop a 360 degree vision of the industry that is not only limited to hair, but also includes manicures, pedicures, skincare, and business in the 47 week curriculum. Students learn the necessary business tools to prepare them for a career as a hairdresser, and also the fundamentals to starting up and running their own hair salon through the NAIT business program.
Students begin as an "Initiator" learning the essentials of cosmetology (hair) in an exciting, high energy, highly motivating atmosphere under the dedication of a skilled instructor. This is the foundation from which students will begin their growth starting with the theory of cosmetology to working hands-on with hairstyling. The program is enhanced with a commitment to professional development and it incorporates a strong business compo
nent. The next step is the "Achiever" where students will put into action the theory learned during the first phase. The basic skills in hair are tried and tested and the student's artistic talent begins to shine through as they begin their quest to becoming a skilled professional. As "Visionaries" students will be perfecting hands-on hair creations and learning from highly skilled advanced instructors. Students will be encouraged to step outside the fundamentals to test their own personal style. Becoming "Leaders" prepares students for the final phase of the program where they will be expected to grow their talent to the highest of their ability in final preparation for becoming a future "Industry Leader".
Esthetics Diploma Course
Students will learn the essential skills necessary to perform manicures, pedicures, waxing and facials effectively and efficiently in only 6 short months while enrolled in the aesthetics courses. Esthetics training places a heavy emphasis on practical experience ensuring students are spa ready upon graduating. The program is enhanced with a commitment to professional development by incorporating a strong business component to the curriculum.
Students will thrive learning in this life like spa setting with access to the most 
current products and equipment while perfecting both their theory and practical application. Students will receive a solid understanding of anatomy and pathology of the skin, hair, hand, arm, focus on safety, hygiene combined with the knowledge necessary to become a retail specialist - this will ensure students are well prepared for their new career when leaving Esthetic school. Students will enter the field of Esthetics with the utmost confidence using their newfound talent and business skills.
Short Aesthetics Training Courses
These short aesthetic courses are designed to enhance your skills as an esthetician.
Gel Nail Artistry 32 hours
During the Artificial Nails Course, you will learn about the anatomy of the nail, and proper nail care. You will learn techniques for nail shaping, nail tips, fibreglass nails, gel nails, gel French tips, and pedique.
Chemical Peels & Procedures 15 hours
Chemical Peels is a two-day hands-on training course designed for those who intende to perfom chemical peels in an esthetic and/or medical setting. This training course will teach estheticians the proper protocols for effective facial rejuvenation using chemical peels. The class will cover factors affecting skin health and rejuvenation as well as conducting client history, skin analysis, and developing individualized treatment plans for different skin conditions.
Brazilian Wax Course 8 hours
This is a one day course to enhance your waxing skills! This class will demonstrate Brazilian bikini waxing using soft and hard wax on a female model.
Advanced Pedicures Cours
e 8 hours
Advanced Pedicures is a one day training session that will provide you with opportunities to learn and enhance your knowledge to perform advanced foot care. This class covers the causes, treatments and home care recommendations for different skin/nail conditions.
Microdermabrasion 16 hours
Microdermabrasion has become an increasingly popular skin resurfacing choice. This two-day hands-on Microdermabrasion course is designed for those interested in advanced skin care therapies. This class covers the procedures and history of mircodermabrasion. The student will understand what the treatment can do for various skin types and skin conditions.
Speed Waxing 8 hours
Take your waxing to the next level! This one day hands-on class includes various face and body speed waxing techniques. Instructional and demonstrative material includes detailed descriptions on how to remove hair on lips, eyebrows, legs, underarms, and bikini area. Demonstration shows effective methods using soft wax and hard wax.

• Make-up Application: Day, evening, bridal, and special occasions.
Make-up Artistry courses are offered during two weekday evenings from 6:00 - 9:00PM.
Your tuition includes all textbooks, tools, brushes and a make-up kit.
