Matrix Educational Center is a privately owned vocational school in Orlando, Florida. It was established in 2002 and offers a combination of classroom theory and pratical learning to prepare our students for positions in the nursing assistance and health care fields. We offer a range of training and certification programs including Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Patient Care Tech (PCT) among many more.

Our career training courses include:
NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA) PROGRAM:
This course prepares you for certification as a nursing assistant. We are also a state testing site. The course is 5 weeks in the daytime and 8 weeks in the evening.
A respected health care field which provides direct care to people with illnesses and injuries. The basic skills a Nursing assistant will learn in this course are used to some degrees in all health care settings. These include Hospitals, Long Term Care facilities, Skilled Nursing facilities, Sub Acute Units and Home Care to name a few. Instructions will be provided by a licensed Registered Nurse. Students will successfully complete the fundementals of health careers for employment as a Nursing Assistant with classroom laboratory and clinical courses. The focus is on basic patient care principles and the role of the nursing assistant on delivering care as a memeber of the health care team. Content includes, but is not limited to communication, nutrition, physical comfort and safety functions, personal patient care and infection control. Special emphasis isplaced on care at geriatric residents in long tern care.
HOME HEALTH AIDE (HHA) PROGRAM:
This course prepares you to work in private homes. The course is three weeks long (75 hours).
Classroom and laboratory program for students who have already completed a Nursing Assistant program. Content includes but not limited to role of Home Health Aide, communication, comfort and safety functions, legal and ethical responsibilities, nutrition and infection control. Instruction will be provided under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse.
PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN (PCT) PROGRAM:
This 600 hour course combines the Nursing Assistant, Home Health, Phlebotomy and EKG. It also includes also include instructions in Domestic Violence awareness and CPR. You will be prepared to take the national certification as a Patient Care Technian. All classes are conducted by trained and qualified instructors in the nursing field.
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM:
If you like working with children you can take this course to prepare you to either open your own Childcare Facility or work as a manager or director in a childcare facility. There are scholarships for this program for those who qualify.
COMPUTER COURSE:
This course gives you the basic computer and office skills to work in any office or combine it with your nursing skills to work in a doctors office of hospital front desk.

These help you keep your nursing license current and include the following:
