The Interactive Design Institute (IDI) is the UK’s leading provider of online qualifications in design including a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours Degree in Product Design for both UK and international students (IDI has enrolled students from over 40 countries). Students on our product design degree course are awarded a BA (Hons) degree in Product Design from the University of Hertfordshire. IDI is approved by The City & Guilds Institute of London, ABC Awards and the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), three of the most respected awarding bodies in the UK, and by the Open and Distance Learning Quality Council (ODLQC), an independent body set up by the UK government to oversee standards in distance learning. All the courses we offer are on the UK National Qualifications Framework (NQF), a credit transfer system for qualifications in the UK.

It involves finding ways of identifying consumer needs and aspirations as an approach to creating the most appropriate product design solutions. This Product Design Degree course offers a real focus on user needs, design trends, innovation and predictions. Certification:  Completion of Level 1 leads to the award of the Certificate of Higher Education (Cert. HE) and completion of Level 2 leads to the award of the Diploma of Higher Education (Dip. HE). Completion of Level 6 leads to Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) degree.
