Canadian Virtual University:
Canadian Virtual University (CVU) is a consortium of accredited Canadian universities offering complete degrees and individual courses online and through distance education. CVU offers distance or online undergraduate and graduate programs from Canada's leading universities.

English Language Proficiency Program :
The English Language Proficiency Program is not an undergraduate program; it is a program of specific courses that will help prepare students, particularly those who are not native English speakers, for university entrance and success in university studies in Canada, employment, and social situations. In the certificate program, students will complete four courses.

Before enrolling in the program, all students are required to take the online self-assessment test. Prospective students should register for the program as unclassified students (students who are not enrolled in an AU degree, diploma, or certificate program).

Admission:
Students must be 16 years or older. No other prerequisites.

Required Course:
*Developing Writing Skills

Electives:
A minimum of one or more of the following courses:
 *Grammar
 *Writing for Academic Purposes
 *Reading for Academic Purposes
 *Advanced Speaking and Listening Skills (in development)

And a minimum of one of the following courses:
 *English for Academic Purposes
 *English for Business
