Canadian Virtual University (CVU) is a consortium of accredited Canadian universities offering complete degrees and individual courses online and through distance education. CVU offers over 350 distance or online undergraduate and graduate programs from Canada's leading universities, and over 2500 individual courses.

Certificate in Counselling Women:
This 30-credit certificate is designed to develop or expand your knowledge of the established field of women's studies and the emerging field of gender studies.

You will have the opportunity to engage with a range of feminist theories, concepts, history, methodologies, research, and activism and discover how they inform the diverse lives and experiences of women across cultures.

Admission:
Students must be 16 years or older. No other prerequisites.
 
Career Options:
The University Certificate in Counselling Women prepares students for careers in a wide range of fields, including teaching, social work, women’s crisis centres, criminal justice, health care, law, policing, journalism, counselling, human resources, union officer, international aid officer, and policy analysis.

This certificate enhances counselling and problem-solving skills for both professionals and volunteers who are currently employed as crisis workers, social workers, family life educators, adult educators, nurses, teachers and vocational counsellors.
