University of Wisconsin Platteville is an accredited state university located in Southwest Wisconsin offering undergraduate degree, graduate degree and professional development programs via distance learning. Programs include the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Criminal Justice degree programs along with Master Degree programs in Criminal Justice, Project Management, and Engineering. Since its entrance into online and distance education, UW-Platteville maintains a fully-staffed distance learning division on the campus to give distance students a centralized hub for all of their student services needs.

Master of Science in Criminal Justice:
The Master of Science in Criminal Justice (MSCJ) program is a comprehensive multidisciplinary degree designed for criminal justice and social service professionals who:
- Need additional knowledge and skills to advance to a higher-level position in their profession
- Desire to teach at a community college or university
- Seek an advanced degree as a prerequisite for entry into the criminal justice field
Master of Science in Engineering:
Designed with practicing engineers in mind, the online Master of Science in Engineering program (MSENGR) develops skills in advanced mathematics, engineering management, technical communications, and computer applications. After completing the program, graduates will be prepared to assume additional responsibilities in their organization.
Master of Science in Project Management:
The Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM) degree helps professionals learn real-world practices that build professional value while they earn a degree of the highest quality that suits their schedules. Delivered entirely online, the MSPM program is structured to fit the busy lives of working adults. No campus visits are required. Students can log in at their convenience to access course content and resources. The program curriculum appeals to a variety of professionals, from current practitioners to those simply interested in enhancing their project management abilities. You will never need to come to campus -- you can receive course-related materials online, through the mail, or both! It’s your choice. The BSBA program provides in-depth knowledge of the various facets of business, as well as the flexibility to select coursework that aligns with your professional and personal aspirations.
Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice:
Delivered entirely online, the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (BSCJ) program is flexible to fit the busy lifestyles of working adults. You will never need to come to campus, though of course you are welcome to visit, and you can log in whenever you choose to access course lectures and materials. Regardless of whether you’re a human services counselor, a police officer assigned to third shift, or making a career change to the criminal justice field, this program can accommodate your unique schedule. The BSCJ program provides students in-depth knowledge of the many facets of criminal justice, including law, psychology, community relations, corrections, and investigation. To maintain a relevant curriculum, UW-Platteville consults an advisory board that consists of members from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF); the Department of Justice; and police chiefs.

Single Course Enrollment:
Graduate Special (non-degree-seeking) Students
Students who have earned a bachelor’s degree from a nationally or regionally accredited institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) may register as a Special Student. You will receive academic credit for courses taken while on this status. You can be considered for admission into a degree program if you maintain a 3.00 grade point average in all graduate-level work and all other admission requirements are met. With the program area advisor’s approval, you may transfer up to 12 credits earned at UW-Platteville into a degree program. All graduate-level work will be included in computing your academic average.
