- Advanced Diploma of Educational Studies in TESOL (450 hours):
If you are looking for an opportunity to increase your understanding of the principles and practice of English language teaching to help improve your overall performance in the classroom, this course may be the best choice for you. It is ideal if you wish to extend your professional experience and accept new responsibilities as it not only demonstrates a commitment to the profession, but is also proof of your ability.
A student who has completed the diploma course can complete the advanced diploma course as an add-on, by completing a further five modules: Grammar Awareness; Teaching Business English; Teaching English to Young Learners; Teaching English One-to-One; Extended Essay 2.
- Diploma of Educational Management Studies in TESOL (250 hours):
This course is aimed at students who are seriously contemplating a career in English language teaching or for those who are in possession of a Certificate in English Language Teaching and who wish to further extend their understanding of teaching methodology and techniques or wish to further their career prospects by pursuing management roles (Academic Manager / Director of Studies / Head of Department).
This course consists of 8 modules: The World of ELT (English Language Teaching) and Study Skills; The Study of English; The Teaching and Learning of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL); Lesson Planning; Language Learning and Communication, Professional Development, Management Strategies and an Extended Essay. If you have completed the certificate course, you can complete the diploma course as an add-on, by completing the additional four modules.
- Certificate of Educational Studies in TESOL (150 hours):
This extensive course will equip the prospective teacher with the necessary skills to enter the classroom with the necessary co
nfidence and understanding of relevant techniques and knowledge of teaching methodologies. It is aimed primarily at persons who wish to gain an initial TEFL / TESOL qualification.
This course consists of 4 modules: The World of ELT (English Language Teaching) and Study Skills; The Study of English; The Teaching and Learning of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL); Lessons Planning. If a student wishes to extend their qualification further in the future, they need only register for a further four modules to qualify for the diploma course.
- Preliminary Certificate of Educational Studies in TESOL (100 hours):
This course aims to provide a basic introduction to ESL teaching to those who are unfamiliar with the field. It is ideal for students who wish to attain an entry level qualification in order to teach English. This course consists of 3 modules: The World of ELT (English Language Teaching) and Study Skills; The Study of English; The Teaching and Learning of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Each module may be completed in two weeks. This period may be extended (up to 6 months) offering you flexibility and allowing you to work at your own pace.
