The aim of this course is to provide a sound understanding of e-Marketing which, in turn, gives the student both confidence and a structure in which they can explore the exciting array of opportunities presented by the online opportunity.
The objectives are to: - Understand how e-Marketing fulfils the basic principles of marketing - Recognise the evolutionary stages of e-Marketing and the resource implications - Embrace change and the necessity to explore the cyber world - Appreciate the range of e-Tools as well as their advantages and disadvantages - Develop an awareness of the digital impact on each element of the marketing mix - Grasp the e-Issues affecting customers, intermediaries and marketers - Become familiar with the e-Marketing vocabulary.
The course follows an interactive method to build your experience and knowledge in e-marketing to a point whereby you are fully prepared for examination. It is strongly recommended that students follow the sections in numerical order as each section builds upon learning from the previous and information preceding each assignment is required to answer the questions most effectively. A distance learning tutor is available to provide feedback on the assignments you submit and to answer any questions you have about the course content. The tutor is highly experienced in e-marketing from both a strategic and implementation perspective.
Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the programme, students will be able to: - Categorise a web site’s evolutionary stage - Ensure e-Marketing activities are leveraged for maximum marketing benefits - Draw new e-Models which could be used in a marketing plan - Advise on the impact which e-Marketing has on each element of the marketing mix - Compare and contrast different e-Marketing tools - Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of resource budgeting - Draw up an outline e-Marketing Plan which integrates online and offline and control mechanisms
