Sponge Bob Square Pants: Dutchman’s Dash Game
Sponge Bob Square Pants: Dutchman’s Dash is a fun online RPG adventure game for kids based on the famous cartoon show. SpongeBob’s friend Gary the Snail has been kidnapped by the pesky Flying Dutchman, and it’s up to SpongeBob and Patrick Star (the starfish and SpongeBob Squarepants’ best friend) to rescue him. To do that, they have to progress through a series of tricky side-scrolling platform levels against the clock. While controlling SpongeBob or Patrick, you must avoid the slimy Bad Guys (green jellyfish-like medusae), collect power ups and quickly jump from platform to platform to succeed.
This cute and hilarious cartoon adventure, featuring all of your favorite SpongeBob characters, will have you laughing all the way to the end. It’s pretty challenging though, as both SpongeBob and Patrick are difficult to control while they are dashing around at high speed. Gary needs rescuing – and it’s up to the Dynamic Duo – and you – to help! It’s time to play the role of the hero and save your buddy and the day!
How to Play: You must complete each level in under 5 minutes to progress. You start off as SpongeBob but if you lose one life, you come back as Patrick. Control the characters using the Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard. Run using the Left and Right Arrows and hit the Up Arrow to jump. Hit Spacebar to perform a special attack. Try to avoid getting hit head-on by any of the bad guys. You can eliminate them by jumping on top of them, but if you hit off any other part of them you lose a life. You can see how many lives you have remaining in the top left corner of the game screen.
Collect little jelly-men dotted around the game screen to increase your lives. Statues of Squidworth act as checkpoints that you return to, each time a life is lost. Jump on the clams and collect what’s inside to activate Special Attack Mode. Hit Spacebar to use it on the Bad Guys. Both characters have unique special moves that eliminate slimy opponents from every angle. Keep an eye on the clock in the top right corner of the game screen. If it ticks all the way down before you complete the level – its game over.
