Ghetto Getaway is a cool, fast-paced street car driving & police chase game for teens and grown-ups (that requires Adobe Shockwave Player to play) where you play the role of a getaway driver who has to outrun the police who are in hot pursuit, and deliver illegal parcels to various different locations. Time is ticking, so you’ll have to drive like the wind to make the drop-offs before it’s too late.
You play the role of a wanted felon, so the police will try anything to stop you reaching your target points. They’ve laid out barriers, and sent patrol cars after you to try and stop your cool getaway car in its tracks. Pull intense hand-brake turns around sharp corners, and outmaneuver the bumbling police cars in this furious 3D driving adventure challenge. Be careful, as all those breakneck-speed turns can result in crashes.
Try to keep your car in the best shape possible to succeed. Your quick reaction skills will be tested, as there are so many sharp corners along the city streets. Ready to steer yourself onto the path of Getaway Greatness? Good, let’s rev it up Dude!
How to Play: Control your powerful getaway car using the Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard. Up Arrow = Accelerate; Down Arrow = Reverse; Left and Right Arrows = Steer. To slam on the handbrake, hit the C key. Use this key to maneuver around sharp corners more easily. You have to make numerous drop-offs at different locations around the city. The location of your drop-off is indicated by the Red Compass Bar on your dashboard at the bottom right of the game screen. Follow the Red Compass to reach the drop-off location. The numbers beside the Compass Bar decrease as you get closer to the drop-off.
Once you reach the location, drive at the Yellow Arrow on the street to automatically make the drop. If you are taking too long, a clock starts to tick down at the top of the game area. If you fail to make the drop-off before the clock ticks down, you move onto the next drop. The police have sent cars after you, avoid them at all costs. They will attempt to crash into you, so be ready to swerve away from them. Try not to crash too often – the Car Icon at the bottom left of the play area indicates how damaged your car is. If it fills up red all the way, it’s game over, and you have to start all over again.
Tip: If you get pinned into a corner by a cop car, hit the R key to reset your car into the center of the street.
