This summer, NCV will provide something new and exciting, with a less academic focus. NCV's Technical Summer Camp, running in August 2006, will provide students with a sample of various BCIT programs.
Students will have fun learning English by participating in engaging classroom activities and exploring four career paths that they may decide to pursue. These will be based on the following programs at BCIT:
- Environmental Engineering,
- Wildlife and Recreation,
- Forensic Investigation, and
- Interior Design and architectural Engineering
Afternoon sessions will involve teacher-led field trips and interactive activities.

An Alternative to TOEFL
Students who successfully complete the Polytechnic Preparatory Program may enter BCIT directly; no TOEFL , IELTS or equivalent standardized test score is required of them.
*Admission to BCIT is dependent on seat availability and academic prerequisites.

Entrance Visa/Study Permit Renewal
Our staff members are available to assist international students with visa applications and study permit renewals. Students are encouraged to drop in for assistance during open office hours.
Health Insurance
All international students are required by the government of British Columbia to have medical insurance. Students are encouraged to apply for British Columbia Medical Services Plan immediately upon arrival to Canada. The application process takes three months. In the interim, students should obtain private medical insurance upon arriving in Canada.
Homestay Arrangement/Airport Pickup
We have a strong relationship with a reputable homestay organization that helps find suitable homestay hosts for students and also provides an airport pickup service.
