Advanced Diploma of Homoeopathy: The central theme of homoeopathy is the principal of 'similia similabus curantur' which translates as 'like cures like'. Homoeopathy is a system of medicine that works by giving patients a dilute dose of a substance that in a cruder form would cause symptoms similar to that which the patient is experiencing. Homoeopathy has been used successfully on humans as well as animals.

Homoeopathy is rapidly gaining popularity in Australia and is practised and respected in countries as wide ranging as India, Germany and the UK. The preparation of homoeopathic medicine is a unique procedure with the medicines in some instances being diluted beyond a measurable level. At this point medicines increase their therapeutic potential with their side effects being simultaneously minimised.

This 3 years part-time course is designed to take students from the most fundamental theoretical basis to a level of being a safe and competent homoeopathic practitioner. Studies will focus on classic homoeopathic principles including history and philosophy, intensive materia medica (the study of homoeopathic medicines, case taking and prescribing), pharmacy, manufacturing of remedies, and clinical application. Additionally students will be required to undertake and participate in homoeopathic research.

Degree & further Diploma Pathways: On completion of this course graduates may apply to Charles Sturt University for entrance into the Bachelor of Health Science (Complementary Medicine) degree using this qualification to gain advanced standing. Graduates may upgrade to the following qualifications at ACNT, with advanced standing for modules already studied:
Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy course; Advanced Diploma of Western Herbal Medicine course; Advanced Diploma of Nutritional Medicine.
