That is the finding of Community College Week magazine in its 2004 report on "The Top 100 Associate's Degree Producers." A multi-campus, two-year, state-supported community college with six campuses and numerous outreach centers, Miami Dade is nationally recognized as one of the largest and best community colleges in the country. It is governed by a seven-member District Board of Trustees and a college president.
Programs:MDC offers daytime and evening courses, as well as a Weekend College, with classes scheduled Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday. We offer more than 150 academic programs leading to the Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.), and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) (in several fields), Bachelor of Applied Science (in criminal justice), as well as numerous certificates.
The Master of Science in Technical Communication (M.S.T.C.) program is designed to prepare students to assume leadership roles in the field of technical communication. It focuses on helping participants refine their skills in the design, production, and evaluation of technical information. Classes are offered in the evenings.
