Associate in Science Business Administration
Students will be prepared with necessary business software application skills to include word processing, spreadsheet development, and database management, along with accounting fundamentals. These skills will assist them in tackling everyday technology based tasks. Students will take courses to enhance their ability to aid in essential administrative decision making. Principles of Management, Marketing, and Business Law will give students a platform toward better awareness of the administrative side of a business environment.
Associate in Science Business Accounting
This course work will prepare students academically and professionally while developing the social and economic attitudes, which the College deems essential for an entry-level accounting position in today's economic environment and transfer to 4-year degree programs. The first year of this program is designed to guide a student through the entire accounting cycle as applicable to proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations. The second year deals with the refinement of accounting theory, working with incomplete records, cost accounting, and “hands-on” computer applications. Lastly, the courses will provide an understanding of accounting methods, management skills, and business knowledge. An essential element of each course is learning to use computers and a variety of sof
tware applications.
Associate in Science Medical Assistant
The Medical Assistant is an integral member of the health care delivery team, a vital liaison between the doctor and the patient, and plays an important role in the health industry. Medical Assistants perform administrative and clinical duties. In administrative area, our graduates will be able to schedule and monitor appointments, arrange hospital and outpatient admissions, manage medical records, and similar functions. In the clinical area, our graduates will be able to prepare patients for examinations, procedures and treatments, assist with physical examinations, record medical histories, take vital signs, chart patient information, administer medications and injections, perform electrocardiograms, assist with minor office surgeries, perform venipuncture, collect and prepare specimens, and perform basic laboratory tests.
Associate in Science Network Administration
The practice of individualized computers is at an end. Now, the integration of multiple computers in the work place using services such as the Internet, E-mail, file and printer sharing makes this program a career of the present and future. The student will gain the technical and customer service skills to troubleshoot hardware and software operation issues in the workplace. The demand for specialists to design and maintain these networks makes this program very competitive. Students will also learn to administer, troubleshoot, and support network systems. In CBT College, you will be preapred for certifications in CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP, MCDST, MCSA, and Cisco CCNA.
