Locations: From the subtropical flats of
the Gran Chaco in the north, through the booming
metropolis of the country's capital, Buenos
Aires, down to the rolling, oil-rich plateau of
Patagonia and over to the rugged Andes mountain
range, Argentina's vast size and many
recreational activities provide opportunities
for unlimited pleasure. Argentina has numerous
sites that boast worldwide recognition and
inspire awe from even the most skeptical of
travelers.
Buenos Aires, with a population of over
13 million in the Greater Buenos Aires area, is
the third largest city in South America and the
most European of all Latin American cities. With
its wide boulevards, leafy parks, grand
buildings and varied culture and nightlife, the
city is very reminiscent of Paris or Barcelona.
Situated in the east of Argentina beside the Rio
de la Plata and surrounded by seemingly never
ending flat land known as the Pampas, this is
truly a 24 hour city. Devaluation has made it a
cheap city to explore and enjoy, while the
division of wealth remains largely invisible to
the tourists sightseeing and shopping by day and
dancing and enjoying gastronomic delights at
night. Buenos Aires has a mild climate and is a
year-round destination, although the city can
get very hot and humid during the summer months
from December to February. The city can also be
quiet during the summer as many "Porteņos" take
their holidays at this time.
Our Spanish school in Buenos Aires is located in
a stylish building close to all the most
important city attractions, allowing you to walk
around safe neighborhoods and to enjoy the most
beautiful places in the city. Our Spanish
courses also include walking tours around the
most interesting neighborhoods in the city, such
as Recoleta, San Telmo, Palermo Hollywood and
Palermo Soho, Las Canitas, La Boca and Puerto
Madero. Every Monday the school organizes a
different city tour around one of these areas.
Our city tours offer an excellent complement to
your Spanish course by giving the student a
valuable insight into the wider city as well as
providing the opportunity to learn more about
the Argentine culture by way of direct
interaction in the every day life of Buenos
Aires.
Esquina is located in the Province of
Corrientes, only 600 kilometers north of Buenos
Aires, on the way to the Iguazu Water Falls.
Esquina has a totally different environment to
many other areas, in a truly natural and typical
Argentine town. The surrounding area is a
natural paradise with beautiful islands, rivers
and wetlands. The climate is tropical with high
temperatures and heavy rainfall throughout the
year. You will have the opportunity to integrate
yourself in real, genuine Argentine life in a
sleepy town of about 27,000 inhabitants. Don't
miss this rare possibility of learning Spanish
in Argentina, while immersing in the yet
untouched Argentine Mesopotamia and practicing
such diverse activities as horse riding, polo
classes, bird watching, fly and cast fishing in
the river Corriente and its delta, launch ride,
small and large game hunting, farms, leather
work, traditional dances and much more.
Bariloche is located in the southwestern
part of Argentina, 1650 km / 1025 miles
south-east of Buenos Aires. It is well known as
the main gateway to the stunning natural
environment of the Patagonia region. The region
is known throughout the world as one of the most
beautiful and least spoilt areas left on the
planet, and add to this the warmth and welcoming
nature of the local people and you will find
that Bariloche is one of the best places to
learn Spanish in Argentina and South America.
Although Bariloche is a popular destination year
round, during the South American winter, from
the end of June until the end of September, the
majority of our students come to Bariloche to
combine Spanish courses with skiing in the local
area. Located very close to Bariloche you will
find the famous Cathedral Mountain, which is the
most popular ski resort in Argentina and also
the biggest in South America. The resort area is
modern and well equipped with 28 ski lifts, 14
restaurants and countless other facilities.
All the Spanish language teachers at our school
in Bariloche are specialists in the field of
language instruction, with each one having a
wealth of theoretical and practical experience.
All of our teachers are from different parts of
Argentina, giving you the chance to hear the
wide range of different accents from all over
the country.
