PSC offers the unique accredited Advanced Diploma in Photography that has been specifically designed to produce multi skilled photographers and image-makers for a career in the many sectors of the photographic industry. Specialised major stream studies enable students to specialise in Commercial Photography, Photojournalism or Art Photography. The qualification can be achieved in either three years of full time study or a minimum of four years of part time study.

The Advanced Diploma of Photography is accredited by government bodies and recognized by the Australian peak industry body for photography, the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP).

PSC has its own unique credit transfer arrangement for graduates of the Advanced Diploma of Photography course. A one-year degree conversion is available at RMIT university.

This enables graduates to obtain either the BA (Photography) or the BA (Media Arts). In turn, students may then be eligible to undertake further studies e.g. Masters and Doctorates at universities throughout Australia, and internationally.
