The Jewelry Arts Institute in New York has been committed to researching, preserving and teaching the jewelry making techniques of the Classical Period for over 20 years, passing on these nearly lost traditions to students from all corners of the world. Located at 2180 Broadway (Between 77th and 78th Streets), NY City, The Jewelry Arts Institute attracts students from all walks of life, some who will pursue a career in jewelry design and others who simply love to recreate the jewels of antiquity. Located at 2180 Broadway (Between 77th and 78th Streets), NY City we teach all classical techniques in every class. These techniques are Byzantine enameling, classical chain making, classical settings, granulation in silver and gold, lapidary and other related techniques. Since all projects are taught by one-on-one demonstration, students of all levels can be enrolled in all classes. This is true for both the semester classes and the intensive workshops. We have a teacher for every five or six students so the student receives a lot of attention. If a student were to complete all of the many projects we have developed, he/she would end up with a complete background of classical jewelry
techniques.

Evening Workshops - If you are local to the Stockton, CA area, there are Thursday evening-6 week sessions. These are Open Studio workshops, the subjects & projects are chosen by the participants.
