Hospitality & Tourism ManagementDania – Danish Academy of Business and Technology:
Located on the southern edge of Randers, on the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark, Dania - Danish Academy of Business and Technology - previously known as The Danish Business Academy Minerva, has a long-standing tradition for developing and offering higher education programmes in tourism and hotel management as well as other areas. Academy Profession (AP) degree programmes last two years and combine theoretical studies with a practice-oriented approach. As part of our AP degree programmes we offer the AP Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management.

AP Degree in Hospitality and TourHospitality & Tourism Managementism Management:
The education is a two-year, full-time programme that corresponds to 120 ECTS Credits. The European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) is a common European standard, 60 Credits of which correspond to one full year of studies at higher education level.

The purpose of the programme is to qualify graduates to independently develop, plan and implement tourism and travel services for companies operating in national and international environments. The programme is the perfect education for students who are planning a middle-management career in the tourism and travel industry or other service based businesses.

Internship (10 Credits)
The first part of the third term consists of a three-month internship in a relevant company in Denmark or abroad, taking place in the period between the beginning of June and the middle of October. Based on this internship, each student must hand in a written report.

Please note that it may be difficult for international students who do not speak Danish to be accepted into a Danish company. Furthermore, non-EU citizens should be aware that it may be difficult to obtain a visa for non-Schengen countries (the UK and Ireland) in connection with an internship. Foreigners holding a Danish residence permit may on the other hand stay in all Schengen countries for up to 3 months without applying for a visa.

Normally, students do not receive a salary during internships. If you are doing your internship outside of Denmark, you may be eligible to receive an Erasmus mobility grant.

Final exam project (15 Credits)
In the fourth term, all students must complete a final exam project, handing in a more extensive report that is also usually based on the company where the internship took place.

Bachelor's Degree
The AP Degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management enables students to earn a Bachelor’s degree in or outside Denmark.
