Founded in 1986, Polimoda Fashion Design and Marketing Institute in Florence, is a dynamic international school offering quality, hands-on training for students seeking professional careers in the fashion industry. We specialize in courses of fashion design, fashion management, production, commercialisation and marketing, with the aim to create a close collaboration between the academic and production worlds, besides providing a constant comparison with the international panorama. Many of our students come from all over the world. Students intern at local fashion businesses in Florence during their undergraduate or masters program. The majority of our students go on to work in the fashion sector directly after their studies at Polimoda.
A wide range of courses from undergraduate and summer courses to postgraduate studies, taught in Italian or English. All of the undergraduate and Master degree courses require an admission test. Our programs taught in Italian require an intermediate knowledge of the language. We also offer specialization courses and summer courses in fashion design, marketing and trends. Our way of cooking has evolved over the centuries. The south of Italy has always been a Mediterranean base through which many civilizations have passed, giving to our land and likewise to our plates a touch of their traditions. Our mission is to teach our students the art of traditional southern Italian cooking, specifically those dishes rooted in our culture and way of life. In this way we not only offer cooking classes, but a piece of our historical heritage.
Cooking classes begin in the late morning or afternoon to cook a different full 4 course meal every day, which is then served for lunch or dinner at Mami Camilla. The chef, provides each student with a book of recipes so that you could follow each day's menu and take notes and ask any questions that you may have. We always give the students the opportunity to have hands on experiences with every dish we make, that's why we limit our class size to no more than 5/6 students.

The Sorrento Cooking School takes place within a holiday complex steps away from the sea and from the city centre of Sorrento. The cooking school is surrounded by lemon and orange trees where are dislocated bungalows, chalets and apartments which can accommodate anyone who wish to spend an unforgettable holiday in Sorrento that combines Neapolitan food, art, and culture. We offer one-day and multi-day hands-on cooking classes as well as all inclusive packages that are offered year round from a minimum of two to a maximum of 15 participants. Classes are based on menus of the traditional Italian cuisine, with a particular emphasis on Neapolitan recipes.
