The Harbourside Institute of Technology is a certified Pro Tools training facility with one of the only two Pro Tools experts in Canada and a certified Ableton training instructor on staff.  All HIT instructors are successful professionals currently active in the recording, game audio, post audio and film industries. 

Courses / Programs:

- Audio Engineering and Music Production program (AEMP) - A nine month diploma program, providing 720 hours of integrated theory and real world studio practicals.

- Advanced Recording Artist program (ARA) - Sign a record deal with HIT Records and Maximum Music / EMI. This 3 month diploma program is designed to take you through the entire production process, from concept to final product where students will be involved in all aspects of recording and releasing music, including, A&R, Artist Development, Sales, Marketing, Promotion and Publicity. The program also includes advanced 200 level Pro Tools certification courses.

-  Pro Tools Certification courses - Pro Tools is the most widely used Digital Audio Production system in the world. Pro Tools courses include training in 101, 110, 130 (Game Audio), 201 and 210M.

- Ableton Live 8 - This course is taught by our Ableton Certified Instructor and is included in the Audio Engineering and Music Production Program or can be taken separately.
