Sydney English Academy:
The Sydney English Academy (SEA) is a small and friendly school located next to Sydney's famous Manly Beach and only 30 minutes by ferry from Sydney's city centre. It offers intensive English courses in small class sizes and a great range of English plus Activities courses all within a beautiful beach side location. We offer intensive General English courses to students on student, tourist or working holiday visas. Our courses focus on spoken English, pronunciation, listening, reading and writing skills. Our aim is to develop your fluency, accuracy and confidence in these areas. We use modern teaching methods including the use of course books, student presentations, videos and roleplays.

Every week we invite students to join teachers for two social activities such as; beach barbeques, beach volleyball, video evenings and bushwalks.

Most of these activities are free, however some may require a small fee.

Manly offers a great range of accommodation to suit every budget, including homestay ($230/week), hostels (from $25/night or $160/week), and apartments from $500/week.
Most of our visitors choose either Homestay or Hostel accommodation.

Staying with a homestay family (single room accommodation, with breakfast & dinner Monday - Friday and all meals at weekends) is a great way to make Australian friends and practise your English.

At the SEA we choose our homestay families very carefully to ensure that you have the best experience of homelife during your stay in Manly.

To study at the Sydney English Academy you will need to apply for a Student, Tourist or Working Holiday visa. A Student visa will allow you to study for 2 to 50 weeks full time.

A Tourist or Working Holiday visa will allow you up to 12 weeks of study.
