The Language Club, Florianópolis:
The Language Club is a 15-year-old institution strongly commited to the language education. We are known for our quality teaching and communicative based methodology. Cultural activities are developed for students to interact with the environment, language, people (i.e. practice classes such as visit to supermarkets, banks and trekking in the neighborhood). The language club offers a friendly multicultural environment where everyone is welcome to exchange experiences while learning a new language.

Methodology:The Language Club adopts a communicative methodology based on a mutual exchange of experiences, both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities. The courses are very interactive and grammar and vocabulary are learned in context. Class dynamics makes use of simulation activities encouraging students’ language practice. In general, the courses cover the four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Aspects of Brazilian culture are also included in the course syllabus.
Teachers:Native Brazilian's who have earned bachelors and masters' degrees in Portuguese education. All language professors go through intensive training prior to teaching a class. And they all speak more than one language fluently.

Florianópolis:Florianópolis is located in Southern Brazil. It is the capital of Santa Catarina, a multicultural state formed mostly by descendants of Africans, Europeans, and Indians. The State is also known for its natural beauty, diversity of landscapes and climate, and strong economy - characteristics that make Santa Catarina the place to be in every season. And Florianópolis is one of the best examples of this mixture. There are 42 beaches around the Island of Santa Catarina (where the most visited part of the city is on), dune sands, mountains, rivers and lagoons. The most famous is Lagoa da Conceição, where The Language Club is located. We have a partnership with Libra Viagens, a longtime travel agency, also located in our neighborhood.
