One of the great strengths of the MIP MBA program is that we are part of Politecnico di Milano – the premier institute of science, technology, and management in Italy. The engineering tradition and technology leadership of Politecnico di Milano allows MIP to have access to the up-and-coming technology and to play a key role in innovation. This allows MIP to be at the forefront of company growth and technological investment. In 1979, a group of leading Italian CEOs expressed the need for having a business school, where
business executives could further develop their management skills.
The business school MIP was thus created out of a corporation between key Italian CEOs and Politecnico di Milano, one of the most prestigious and excelling Italian universities.
In 2003 MIP joined the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering forming the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano.
Throughout its history, MIP has enjoyed a privileged relationship with its shareholder companies, which over the years has been extended to foreign multinationals. Since 2007 the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano has received the EQUIS accreditation. EQUIS, the European Quality Improvement System, was formed in 1997 by the European Foundation for Management Development as a monitor of excellence among European business schools.
