Only 12 schools outside the United States have been granted such accreditation. All the classes of the MBA program are held in Japanese language.Students will have considerable number of discussions in class as well as reading and writing assignments. The Graduate School of International Management (GSIM) was started in 1988, becoming the first US-style business school in Japan. In response to the growing demand for managers with technology and business skills, we started a one-year E-business Management Program in 2001.
Developing leaders, managers, and functional specialists with an understanding of and capability to respond to changing economic, technological, societal, and environmental developments and concerns is a high priority challenge for business and society. To this end, IUJ’s MBA and E-Business curricula are designed to help students acquire both the “hard” and “soft” skills essential to becoming effective leaders in their chosen field. Our curriculum is based on 5 principles: (1) theory-based reasoning and analytical thinking, (2) practical relevance, (3) becoming an effective leader, (4) becoming an effective international team member, and (5) developing and leveraging networks. A carefully planned and executed thesis project under the supervision of a qualified faculty member is the capstone requirement of our two programmes.
