Canadian Independent College continues to be organized around a complete trimester system whereby a stude
nt can accumulate 10 complete high school credits from the beginning of September to the end of June without attending summer school. While we do not recommend this academic pace for all students, it is readily available for the student who is so inclined. By the end of grade 10, students will have completed 16 of 18 compulsory courses
required by the Ministry of Education for graduation purposes. These courses will be taught at the level that will enable students to complete OSSD standards as well as begin their preparation for the Advanced Placement exams in years three and four.
Successful completion of these exams allows students to gain university credits concurrently with the completion of grade twelve credits.
