Metropolitan College in downtown Toronto, Canada offers Specialized English Language Programs (ESL) for international and Canadian students. Highly-trained & experienced instructors:
Our instructors are native speakers of English and have university degrees in language or linguistics. They have postgraduate university certificates in TESOL and extensive English language teaching experience. They also speak at least one foreign language. So, they understand the challenges associated with learning languages.

Metropolitan College ESL Program:
The Metropolitan College ESL Program has been created by professional instructional designers. Our interactive and communicative teaching style and learning materials will help you improve your speaking, writing, listening and reading skills.

The activities we do in class will help you communicate in English. Each week you will notice that you understand more when you listen and read and that people understand you better when you speak and write. You can begin classes on any Monday and study for as many weeks as you choose.

Homestay Student Accommodation:
International students have a lot to gain from living with a Canadian family. You can practice English, build friendships and immerse yourself in Canadian culture. Every home stay is conveniently located and offers you your own space and a meal plan of your choice.

Metropolitan College’s major intersection is Danforth and Woodbine. Being on Danforth means that we are on the subway line.  So, getting to school in the morning is easy, as we are just a 2 minute walk from Woodbine Subway station. Being near Woodbine means that we are 2 km north of Woodbine Beach.  After classes students enjoy going straight south for a fun and relaxing afternoon or evening on the beach. 

Toronto’s Woodbine Beach is the city’s most popular beach as it is the most lively. To get to the beach it takes approximately 20 minutes if you are walking and 5 minutes if you are taking the bus. Enjoy swimming, relaxing, playing beach volley or frizbee, going for a bike ride or jog through the trails, having a picnic or BBQ in the park, walking on the boardwalk….and so much more…
