During the 10 month Fashion Design Diploma Program, students attend classes 2-Days a week, plus one evening, allowing them the means to work full time to support themselves while attending School.

Program Course Overview
Term One 12 weeks

- FD101-History of Costume & Fashion: from Ancient Egypt to Present Day
- FD102-Illustration & Design I: introduction to illustrating the human form, understanding proportions, industry standardized Fashion Figure; drawing draped & tailored garments
- FD103-Pattern Making I: Intro to Flat Pattern Making, Slopers, drafting patterns from individual design ideas
- FD104-Sewing I: Introduction to Sewing, textiles, notions, altering, cutting & finishing techniques
- FD105-Fashion Studies I: Fashion Designers, Careers in the Fashion Industry, Fashion Forecasting, Target Markets, Retail Industry, Design Inspiration, Building Design Ideas

Term Two 12 weeks
- FD201-Sociology of Fashion: Understanding the Fashion Industry, Fashion Theories, Social & Cultural Significance of Fashion, Economics, Production & Consumerism, Advertising & Media Impact
- FD202-Illustration & Design II: Rendering the human form, the industry standardized Fashion Figure, detailed garments, flat contours, mixed media.
- FD203-Pattern Making II: Flat Pattern Design, Draping, Pattern Grading, Drafting Patterns for draped & tailored garments
- FD204-Sewing II: Sewing, cutting, altering, detailing & advanced finishing techniques, working with specialty fabrics and knitwear
- FD205-Fashion Studies II: Fashion Designers, Textile Sciences, Fashion Seasons, Targeting Specific Markets, Product Planning, Storyboards, Designing Individual Collection

Term Three 12 weeks
- FD301-Directed Studies: Working on Individual Collection
- FD302-Illustration & Design III: Storyboards & mixed media illustrations of Individual Collection
- FD303-Pattern Making III: Drafting Patterns for Individual Collection
- FD304-Sewing III: Advanced Techniques, Execution & Completion of Individual Collection
- FD305-Fashion Studies III: Fashion Designers, Advertising, Brand Evolvement, Portfolio, Fashion Entrepreneurship, Developing a Fashion Show

With the culmination of the 10-Month Fashion Design Program, students will be experienced in conceptualizing a Design, visually bringing their imagination to life through Illustration and Pattern Making, to Sewing a finished garment. Upon Satisfactory completion of the Fashion Design Program, students will be awarded a Diploma in Fashion Design.
