Aim:The aim of our adult language classes is to provide adult learners with an opportunity to increase their English language proficiency through academic, social and cultural learning experiences. Our instructors are experienced professionals who plan and design curricula to meet the needs and interests of participants.
Programs:Homestay Programs; English for Academic Purposes; English Group Training; One-to-One English Tuition; ESL for Visitors to Canada; TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC Preparation Courses.
Homestay Program:Homestay means living with a Canadian family who will welcome you and make you feel comfortable for the time you're in their home. You may choose from a number of families who have extensive experience hosting guests from all over the world. The Centre for Education & Training carefully screens and selects suitable Homestay families.
Homestay families provide:
* a friendly, comfortable, safe home environment
* opportunities to practice English
* a private bedroom
* 3 meals a day
* access to the family television, computer and laundry facilities
Homestay student requirements:
* an intermediate level of English competency
* a completed Homestay application form submitted in advance to ensure the best available match
* notification of any serious medical conditions/allergies
* agreement to obey all house rules and conditions as outlined by the Homestay Program
