Zoni Language Centers are English language schools located in Vancouver, Canada, New York and Miami, Florida, USA. We offer a range of English courses for beginner to advanced levels as well as preparation courses for the TOEFL and IELTS exams. We also offer specific courses to meet your individual needs such as Business English, Pronunciation and Accent Reduction, Academic Vocabulary, Current Events and more. ESL Intensive:
This program allows the student to study general ESL skills in the morning or afternoon. The student also gets one extra hour of speaking and pronunciation practice.
Hours Per Week: 20 hrs.
ESL Super-Intensive:
This program is for serious students who want to become fluent as fast as possible. Students will study intensively.
Hours Per Week: 30 hrs.
ESL Semi-Intensive:
This program allows the student to study in the morning or afternoon. This gives the student time to explore beautiful Vancouver.
Hours Per Week: 15 hrs.
Business English:
This course is the ideal choice for advanced students who would like to learn about North American business practices, business writing and speech & oral presentation. This is a part-time course.
Exam Preparation Courses:
Intensive TOEFL Preparation Course:
This course prepares students to take the TOEFL test in either of two formats: computer-based or paper-based. It provides a very comprehensive review of all the components needed for the TOEFL test such as written structures (grammar), reading comprehension, listening comprehension and essay writing. It provides a thorough discussion on the techniques and strategies for taking the test. Students are given free access to the computer lab to do a complete practice TOEFL test.
IELTS / TOEFL (Full-Time / Part-Time):
These programs are perfect for students who want to prepare for the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Test System (IELTS) examinations. We provide students with the necessary skills to study for the examinations and to improve their test scores. Student's level of English must be Intermediate 2 (according to Zoni Language Centers Placement Test).
Advanced - Academic Courses:
These courses are designed for advanced level ESL students. The main goal is to provide students with adequate English proficiency to perform academic reading/writing and speaking/listening tasks. Students will acquire the appropriate skills in giving oral presentations, taking comprehensible notes, self correcting for accuracy in writing and speaking, writing multi-essay compositions and simple academic papers as well as reinforcing critical thinking. The courses present an integrated approach in language acquisition for academic life and career.
The Bridge Program for Children & Youth:
The Bridge Program is designed to help elementary and secondary school international students make a smooth transition from their school system into a Canadian school system. Small classes, unique atmosphere and a popular extra-curricular activities program allow students to develop their skills and feel confident as they learn about our language and culture. Hours Per Week: 30 hrs.
ESL Summer Camps:
For children (ages 9-12) and youths (ages 13-18). All have ESL classes in the morning and fun activities with the group for the afternoon and weekends. Most run for four weeks in July and August but we can accommodate special requests too.
