Our school is a day and boarding
school, for boys and girls. Grades: Pre K - 12, currently to grade 4.
(upper classes will be added each year). Hessen International School
is situated in beautiful modern buildings in the Otto-Volger Street,
Sulzbach / Taunus in the north west of Frankfurt Main. We offer full
residential facilities to children from the age of 5 years. English is
the language of instruction. ESL is taught from year 1 to year 10.
German for native speakers is offered from preschool.

 Bonn International School (BIS)
The Bonn International School (BIS) is an independent, self-supporting, nonprofit association, registered in Germany, governed by a Board of Trustees comprised of 15 members. BIS was created in 1997 from the merger of 3 well-established and successful schools in Bonn: The Bonn American High School, the British High School Bonn, and the Bonn American Elementary School. BIS offers an English language program from ages 2-18 including a Playschool program for 2 year olds and an Early Learning Center (ELC) for ages 3 and 4 that complements the kindergarten through grade 12 program. The school year comprises 2 semesters beginning in mid -August and ending in the last week of June for a total of 180 school days. Instruction in the German language is required of all students. Bonn International School is a regular member of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS), the Association of German International Schools (AGIS), is certified by DoDDS and authorized as an IB World School.

The curriculum is based on the philosophy and practice of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). The IB Diploma and Middle Years Programs (MYP), both offered in the Secondary School, and Primary Years Program (PYP) are fully authorized by the IBO. In addition to optional external IB examinations, each student who completes the school’s requirements will receive a high school diploma. |

 Frankfurt International School (FIS)
The Frankfurt International School (FIS), was founded in 1961, is an independent, co-educational day school, which offers an educational program from playschool, pre-primary through grade 12 for students of all nationalities. FIS is organized into four school divisions: the Primary Division, the Elementary Division, and the Upper School in Oberursel, and the International School Wiesbaden (ISW) which operates as a branch of FIS at a separate campus in Wiesbaden. The main (Waldlust) campus in Oberursel, about 15 kilometers from downtown Frankfurt, houses the Elementary School starting with grade 2, and the Upper School. The Primary Division, with classes from age three through grade 1, is located on the main campus, in the Hohemark section, seperated by woods but merely a 5 minute walk within the campus to the elementary and upper division. Programs for children aged 3 to 11 (through grade 6) are offered at the ISW campus. FIS is recognised as an allgemeinbildende Ergänzungsschule. There are currently over 1750 students from 55 different countries attending FIS and ISW, including 31% American, 17% German, 12% British, 5% Japanese, 6% Korean. The annual turnover of expatriate pupils ranges between 20% of the total student body.

Primary, Elementary, Upper Schools & IB: English is the primary language of instruction and English as a Second Language (ESL) support is available for all students who need it. German courses, at a variety of levels, are available in all grades and required of virtually every student. Native German students and legal residents of Germany are required to follow German courses at FIS. |
