International Schools in Spain - Escuelas para los niños

1 . El Limonar International School, Murcia Courses / Programs
El Limonar International School is a private fee-paying bilingual school founded in 1990 and governed by a permanent Board of Directors. The School is accredited by the Middle States Association and by the Spanish Ministry of Education. The student population is comprised of over 15 nationalities including, English, German, Japanese, French, American and Russian pupils although the majority are Spanish. El Limonar International School has four sites, three in Murcia (in the south east of Spain about 100km from Alicante, between Andalucia and Valencia) which cater for all year groups and one in Villamartín (Alicante) which cater for pupils aged 3 to 14. The centres follow the same programme of studies supervised by the main site in Murcia. Except for subjects taught in Spanish, which follow Spanish Ministry of Education programmes, the curriculum is based on the National Curriculum for England and Wales.
Infant, Primary (Elementary), Secondary (Middle & High), Baccalaureate. The School provides a bilingual education for children of 3 to 18 years old, the languages of instruction being English and Spanish. Except for subjects taught in Spanish, which follow Spanish Ministry of Education programmes, the curriculum is based on the National Curriculum for England and Wales.
2 . Xabia International College, Alicante Courses / Programs
Based in Javea, Alicante on the Costa Blanca, Xabia International College provides an International Primary and Secondary School education based upon the English National Curriculum, ranging from nursery at 3 years of age, through to GCSE at 16 and to 'A' level at 18+. The current total of approx. 300 students is made up of children of some twenty nationalities. The college is fully authorised to admit students of all nationalities and to convalidate their studies in line with the Spanish Education System. XIC welcomes applications from all students who would benefit from studying in the English language. Teaching the Spanish language and culture is also an important part of the curriculum between the ages of 5 and 16 as well as to 'A' level.
