Final Project:
The MBA International Programme culminates in a final pro
ject. Here is where students apply their acquired tools and knowledge, pull together the different areas of business, demonstrate interpersonal abilities and teamwork skills, and most of all debut professionally with real clients. MBA students can choose from the following three types of projects to develop with a practical focus:
Wharton Business School Consulting
One group of students will be selected to take on a consulting project with Wharton Business School in the Global Consulting Practicum (WGCP). The WGCP gives students of the MBA International Programme a chance to team up with Wharton MBA students and develop first rate international consulting, to provide companies in Chile with strategies and contacts to help penetrate the U.S. market.
You get the benefits of teamwork with students from one of the world’s best schools, as well as contacts with top companies, and an understanding of U.S. markets through an excellent consulting experience that will expand professional networks.
Business Plan
Students who choose this final project will form a team to submit ideas for committee selection. The most convincing proposals will be chosen, based on sustainability and the quality of the entrepreneurial team.
Once the business plan is created, teams with a real interest in implementing their proposal may submit it to Octantis, for business incubation support and services throughout all the initial stages of the endeavour.
Octantis Business Consulting
This final project places students in a real life context applied to a business plan already in the incubation process at Octantis. Students participate as members of a consulting team that works directly with entrepreneurs to implement their business idea.
Management Game
The Management Game is coordinated by Carnegie Mellon University. It is simulation game which implies the development of a negotiation strategy in which participate MBA students from different Universities in countries, interacting with managers and top executives of companies in their countries.
This exercise helps them to develop leadership skills which are necessary for business management.
