At Modern Mandarin in Shanghai, China, we provide Mandarin courses to individuals and groups, private and co-corporate, from the very beginner to the most advanced and technical. Our aim is to provide Chinese language teaching services that will meet the requirements of any expatriate. Currently our students include many Fortune 500 executives and diplomats in eight different foreign Consulates. Methodology:Instead of a difficult academic application, the class is structured to be comprehensive and practical. Teachers provide the appropriate cultural guidance along with the language training. The conversation and reading comprehension training places an emphasis on daily practical tasks, such as greeting people, order food and drink, go shopping, transportation, office talks, etc. The situational instruction allows you to accurately grasp the language efficiently.
Materials
Designed for your needs so that you can immediately apply what you have learnt. Material contains text, glossary, listening comprehension, notes, drills and copy characters for those learning to write. Other material includes flash cards, tapes, VCDs and other supplementary materials. All these materials will be individually customized to suite your needs.
Our Teachers :
- Avoid quenching students’ learning desire by reading straight from the textbook or by having students recite without understanding.
- Strive to use various approaches, including translation, short conversation, short real-life stories, role play and songs to familiarize students with the vocabulary used in every-day life. We will provide the necessary materials, tapes, flashcards and pictures for students to practice with.
- Tailor Mandarin learning to your language needs. Our teachers not only teach in English, but also are fluent in Japanese, French or Cantonese to teach Mandarin.
