 GLE Project offers Mandarin courses at Beijing Language and Cultural University. Classes are taught in English, although Korean is also on offer. Students will be housed in a hotel on campus, although we can fulfil any other requests. Trips, dinners and other social activities will be arranged so as to ensure that all those with us get the most out of their time. Beijing Language and Cultural University (BLCU) was founded in 1962 under the name ‘Higher Preparatory School for Foreign Students’. Its aim from this point was stated to be the “popularizing of Chinese language and promoting Chinese culture”. Since then, the university has undergone two name changes and has expanded into literature, economics, law, education, history and engineering.
Courses
You have the option of attending 4, 5, 6, 12 and 20 week courses. Each consists of 20 hours per week of classes, although the 12 and 20 week courses also offer a 30 hour per week class. You will have three teachers each of which will focus on a different area: speaking, listening and comprehension. We are also able to fulfil individual requests for personal tutors.
